HOLIDAYS

  Holidays

The central building has a relaxation hall with tables, chairs, table tennis, books, magazines, local information notice boards, etc.  The swimming pool is a small family sized pool, four feet deep overall, with jacuzzi at one end.  The jacuzzi is operated by two white rubber push buttons at the poolside.  They are operated by pressure to sensors at the control panel and take a second or two to respond. A sauna and separate changing rooms are off the main hall.

The pool hall is available for use from 9:00am - 9:30pm  (The lights in the building are on a time switch and go out shortly after 9:30.  Please ensure you vacate the building by this time).

It may be necessary occasionally to close the pool for an hour or two for maintenance during the day, notices will be posted at the door if this is to happen.

ACCESS TO THE POOL HALL is obtained by presenting your access card to the scanner located in the entrance lobby. Please note: a charge will be made for lost keys.

TELEPHONE

A B. T. coin operated telephone is located in the pool hall entrance lobby. This is available 24hrs.  The telephone takes £1, 50p, 20p and 10p coins and will accept incoming calls.

 LAUNDRY

Next to the pool hall entrance is a laundry room with coin operated washing machine, which accepts £1 coins, and a coin operated dryer which accepts 50p coins.  Heavy items like towels etc. may need more than one cycle to dry.

SHOP – MAIL - CONTACT

At the eastern end of the pool building is a small shop which sells basic items.

The shop is the main point of contact on the estate.

We are happy to advise on choice of routes for a day out on the hills or elsewhere, or help with any problems that may arise.

All incoming mail is held in the shop for collection – see notice board on outside of pool building.

Shop hours:  9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Tuesday to Sunday and 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. Saturday.  (Closed Monday)

At the extreme ends of the season the shop may also be closed for other periods, notices in the shop window will inform of such events.

RUBBISH!

Household rubbish:

Please place all your normal household rubbish in a wheelie bin or large commercial waste bin close to your chalet. If the bin is full please take the time to walk a few steps and deposit it in a bin that is not full.

Please do not over fill the bin and make sure the lid is completely closed after you have used it.

Please do not leave rubbish along side or on top of the bin.

Re-cycling:

Paper, glass and cans.

Please use the recycling point adjacent to the pool hall for recycling the above materials. Place your paper glass or cans in the appropriate blue boxes and ensure the lids are firmly replaced.

Please do not over fill the blue boxes.

Please do not place any other rubbish or recyclable materials in the blue boxes.

Please do not leave rubbish along side or on top of the recycling point.

Place any plastic carrier bags in the bin provided.

Plastic, cardboard etc:

Please take any other recyclable materials to the Ambleside recycling centre.

Our bins and recycling boxes are emptied every two weeks so please try to recycle as much of your rubbish as possible, and please be sensible when depositing your household rubbish in the wheelie bins.

Please remember that the Estate Manager is the only person on the estate to run, service and maintain all site facilities and services.  You can help to ease the workload enormously by leaving communal areas tidy after use.           Thank you!
